  NATIONAL CYCLE ROUTE 8

The National Cycle Route 8 is one of the most scenic and breathtaking routes in the entire UK!
From Dolgellau the road winds up to and around Cader Idris, past mountain lakes and sheer cliffs. Hairpin bends lead you down to stunning views of the Barmouth Estuary to Arthog and on past the Dysynni Valley and Bird Rock to Tywyn.
From Tywyn you follow the road through Happy Valley - a lush and mysterious valley, abundant with bird life, and long abandoned mine workings eventually joining the main route to Machynlleth.
